My girl wants to party all the time

What an odd coincidence that notmartha linked me about the mini donuts (thus sending my stats through the roof), when just today...I made mini donuts AGAIN! Today I took the day off and took the kids to Disneyland. Then I came home and made 64 mini donuts. I know. I don't know what I was thinking either.

Perhaps I failed to mention that I was also making mini donuts for the birthday party. I know, diabetic coma, sugar overload, etc, etc. However, since I wanted to show donut love (my new band name), and not just serve sweets at the party, I made the mini donuts into party favors. I got these tiny cute tupperware-like containers, stacked four mini donuts inside and tied a ribbon. Yes, adults get favors at my parties too, not just the kids. My SIL says she wants them for her wedding favors. HA.Since I will be tied up for the next few days, (seriously, figuring out how I want to build this cake is consuming my thoughts) here's your win!

Leave a comment on this post. That's it. I dunno, tell me what kind of party you'd want me to plan for you. I won't do it of course, but it may give me ideas for other parties. See, I'm just using you like that. Or tell me why you keep coming back here, or maybe what you WANT me to blog about, cause I'm kind of running out of ideas and boring myself, frankly.

While I keep saying, THIS IS MY LAST PARTY - uh, it's really not. I actually have a few more tricks up my sleeve coming up. But more on that later. For now, I am giving away a donut party favor to have of your very own (yes they keep well), AND I am giving away a kid's party favor (pirate plate+pocky). That's two chances of winning!

Leave a comment. I'll be back in a few days, after all this party stuff is over. Or when I've recovered from complete exhaustion.

A robot party. Or a monkey party. Or a robot monkey party?

Maybe to get back to my goth roots, a dead celebrity party. And the food is all said dead celebrities favorite food (like fried peanut butter and banana and such.) And I can dress like a grieving Donatella. Everyone wins.

I was going to throw a "The Russians are Coming!" party with cold, cold vodka (like my heart) and dry champagne and blini and caviar and smoked salmon and other deliciousness. And we all dress like secret agents (i.e., my entire wardrobe.)

Actually, I should probably throw that party for you.

I keep coming because you make me laugh, not just smile. I love the way you write.

I also keep coming because you make me drool :D

Right before Christmas I decided to get rid of all the champagne bottles I had home (long story). So we invented the 'champanada'. It was sure a lot of fun.

Um, what kind of cake are you building? We had a pirate/princess party two years ago with my dear friend who's daughter's birthday is a week away from my son's. I put together a pirate ship cake that was oodles of fun. It involved tootsie rolls and cookies! Have fun with the party.

I'm going to have a party for my 40th birthday this year, and I have no idea what theme to go with... The last time I had a birthday party we did a 'beat poetry cafe' party. Everyone dressed in black and performed bad poetry. And we had weird coffee drinks.

Why won't you plan my party??? :( We are trying to figure out what to do for our 20th (EEEK)wedding anniversary and will probably fall back on a luau theme because a) we can have it outside & b) we don't have to get all dressed up. We're lazy like that. See why I need help?

I am totally into planning Mega Parties for my kids. So far we have had...

Coyboy and Cowgirl party complete with a Old West Town made from old cedar fencing.

Backyard Adventure with an animal safari ride on kid driven powerwheels.

Under the sea party where we transformed the entire backyard into a coral reef.

Not to mention our Annual Halloween Spooktacular.

BTW, I'm a Disney addict and jealous that you are able to make it to DL so often. Post more about those trips so I can live vicariously through you.

I keep coming back to see what you're up to next. For somebody who is SO busy, I do NOT know how you find the time to do such creative, fun, delicious things! Or maybe that's why you're busy. :) The pirate party sounds awesome. What lucky kids you have. :)

Hi! This is the first time I'm commenting on your website-I couldn't resist the party theme question.
Would you throw me an "The Office" birthday Launch/Lunch party? We could play games like Office Olympics and Diversity Day. Party favors and prizes could be a Dwight bobblehead or Support the Rabid bracelets. Of course the menu would need to include beets!!

I know exactly how you feel about pre-party stress?? Is the cake keeping you awake at night? I know my son's crab cake (no, not made out of the fish-y kind of crab) kept me up a lot last year... The whole party planning is so fun though.

love the mini donuts- hope to get a donut pan of our own soon- but they don't show it on their website!! I may just have to go into the store!! AHH! :P

HOLY MOTHER of DONUTS!!! And to think my mister was going to get me that donut maker for Christmas after seeing yours. I told him to forget it though b/c I didn't think I would use it, just like my HK waffler. But then again that's only b/c I' afraid of it breaking on me.

I've got 2 kids with birthdays in the summer. We've done and killed the luau theme. We've done nearly every Disney theme possible, except for the Princesses. But I'm not all into that, the lilmiss is. I'm thinking something along the lines of fairies for her. And the soon to be 9 year old this year... I have no clue.

You are seriously the queen of all craftiness! And you still have your day job! I want to be you! Of course without all the trips to the ER and the hacking dying coughing and sickness!
