Eddie: Mother, are you still on the computer?
Gran: Yes, dear. Sometimes you get into a porn loop and just can't get out

The stress of the past couple days has been getting to me. A fellow blogger keeps telling me that people blog for the 'look at me' factor. Meanwhile, I do my best to stay anonymous. I'd rather people didn't know my name or my face.

Today I was going to delete my flickr, my blogs, my - well, entire internet presence. No one knows who I am, they'll never find me! Who wants to read about the cake I just made anyway? Bo to the ring. I am moody like that. How moody am I? Apparently so much so that I ordered it as a side dish!

What the hell? Eventually I figured it out.

For now I am still on the internet. But still cranky. Nothing baking a batch of muffins can't fix. And yes, I'll blog about it. And we'll all be bored.

I believe that same blogger said that there were multiple types of bloggers, and that type wasn't you, Crankypants.

Also, if you disappear, I know where to find you: in our neighborhood! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.

Mike: You're telling me. I hate paying for things I can make myself. But sometimes I just like the kids to keep quiet. (See previous post about STRESS.)

I hear ya on the anonymity. I always feel like I'm revealing too much.

Hope the rest of your week is stress-less.

I can't relate to feeling cranky and stressed. It's practically immobilizing me this year so far. Ack.

Don't go! Just think, I'd actually have to do work whilst at work if I didn't have your blog to distract me. And nobody wants that.

I'm so with you on the wanting to delete bit. I've met the most fantastic people online though, and luckily, they still outnumber the miserable, bitter douchebags. I'm glad you're staying. While you're at it, any chance at all you could publish your feed as full instead of partial? :D

Well if you're boring, then think how boring I am for reading about your boredom.

For what it's worth, I enjoy your blog.

for real... you need to keep blogging so people like me can sit here and live life through you. :P My son is just getting to the age where he wants to bake- but everything turns out a mess because he doesn't quite understand the imporntance of measuring out a full cup of sugar... and there's just no option of baking with out him- he has to have his nose into everything... so it's great to see your creations and try to live through you... :P

You can't stop blogging. I'll go through withdrawals and I can't handle any more stress right now. OK?

AND I like your cooking entries and your Target blog. Where I will be merrily scouring the clearance racks tomorrow with mt federal refund in hand.

Don't ever go. You and the Slackmistress are 2 of my best, best friends--even if neither of you knows who I am. You make my day more fun!

I'm all for the anonymity..., but your blog is never boring. Even the stuff you think is boring - it's not. My life? That's boring; and that's why I don't have a blog.

i hope you dont go! im a long time reader of your blog and enjoy reading ur entries so much. sure there are some people who blog to get more attention but then there are those that are created to share just whatever is on your mind for the heck of it. plus blogging is like the best type of journal there is. you get a snapshot of lil things that were happening to you and feedback from others.

also id really miss all the photos of your huge projects. i have a tendency to get very involved with my projects as well and its fun to see all your amazing work!

People read you because you tell it like it is. You just say it how it comes to you rather than spending 30 minutes poring over every word in every sentence to make sure they read just so perfectly and prettily. (Is that a word?)

It's the whole Martha Stewart thing....she comes on and talks about egg cups and oh, just get a paprika grater (specifically for paprika, people!!!) and you're sitting at home going "Okay, where are the REAL people who have just ONE grater and no egg cups?"

In this particular day and age it is so refreshing to read someone's thoughts from someone who can sure put on a GREAT and BEAUTIFUL party, shares her hints, loves her kids (and her privacy), and tells it like it is.

If you need to go, go. But you *will* be missed.

I'm just sayin'.

Please do what you gotta do. I feel your health and well-being are above all what's most important.

I'll be sad if you delete everything and drop off the internet, but I respect your stance whatever you decide.

Stay well, mama.
